It’s hard to believe that the wedding is just over a month away! Still lots of loose ends to tie out but we’re getting there one day at a time. One of the big ticket items left on the list was the adult beverage selection for the wedding. But before deciding what to get, Selma and I needed to do some research so we could figure out what to serve on the big day. Fortunately for us, we also get to provide the alcohol for our wedding so we can definitely save quite a bit on cost if we’re smart about what we get and where we get it.
Our friends and caterer told us about this magical place called Total Wine in Delaware just 45 minutes across the border. If you’re buying in bulk, it’s totally worth the trip down from Philly. They have a huge selection and great prices.
They literally have isles and isles just like this full of whatever your heart desires.
They seriously have everything that you could ever want here. Plus, the prices are much lower than what you can get up here in PA.
After getting some recommendations from one of the sales staff, we picked out a few to take home and try.
After taking our wine with us to the dog park and getting the opinion of friends (not the dogs), we decided on two reds and one white for the wedding. And fortunately for us, this past weekend there was a huge sale so I headed back down and stocked up!
And stock up I did.
I even needed to ask for help wheeling it to the register and out to the car.
Even though this may seem like a lot, this is just the wine and half of the liquor that we need. I’ll still have to make another trip back in a few weeks to get the rest of the liquor and beer. Lucky me.
But in all seriousness, if you are looking to stock up for a party or a wedding, Total Wine is definitely worth the trip down.
