Random Things We Did This Weekend

posted in: Life Updates | 0

So it has been a crazy few weeks with things getting busier and busier at work and on the home front. And needless to say the stress level has been slowly rising. We still don’t have a place to live yet when we move to Philly and I have no clue what I’m going to do about work. But we are just taking it one week at a time and seeing what happens along the way. And obviously we are still going to stress eat like there’s no tomorrow.

Finally went to Garlic ‘n Lemons

On Friday, we were pondering where we should go for dinner when Selma had the awesome idea of going to Garlic ‘n Lemons. This has got to be my favorite place to get my shawarma on. Pictured below is their popular “Shawarma Plate” complete with Greek salad, rice pilaf and garlic sauce. Sooooo good. Regardless of where you live in Boston, you NEED to go here.

Visited Parish Cafe…again

On Saturday, we went downtown to do some shopping. Of course, we worked up quite an appetite along the way so we decided to stop by one of our favorite restaurants, Parish Cafe. I did a little blurb on this place awhile back so you can read all about it by clicking on the link. Not only do they have the best and most creative sandwiches in town, they also have the BEST onion rings ever. We were even able to snag a table outside on their patio so we could people watch while we gorged ourselves on our onion rings and sandwiches.

Hello onion rings! Beer-battered and served with a side of homemade chipotle aioli. You don’t know onion rings until you’ve tried these bad boys out.

All in all, we were so full it hurt to walk. Job well done.

Finally got caught up with Game of Thrones

The rest of the weekend was filled with TV shows and more eating. Not much to say here other than I love Game of Thrones!

And with that, thanks for reading and Happy Monday! Only 5 more days until the weekend!
