Got another order of Plated!

If you enjoyed our previous posts detailing our experience with the food subscription service Plated, then get ready for some more delicious reviews! Since Selma and I both got the GiltCity voucher a few months back, we finally got around to using the second one this weekend so we’re excited for what’s in store!

Made more portables!

It’s finally warm(ish) in Boston! I never thought I’d live to see the day. And what better way to celebrate then by going on the first long ride of the season! For food during the ride, I prepared some delicious homemade cookie bars with fresh berries to take along. Stay tuned for the full recipe later on this week!

Signed up for the Tri-Rock Philly Triathlon Relay Race

Just like last year, I signed up again to do the Tri-Rock Philly Triathlon relay with two of my coworkers. We are racing with Team J&J again and are fundraising to support the Cancer Center at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). This is a wonderful intuition dedicated to providing cutting edge treatments for children all over the country. Last year as a team, we had a remarkable showing and raised a record $400,000! This year, we are hoping to set another record for the Corporate Charity Challenge that benefits CHOP.

In addition, my company has generously offered to match dollar for dollar all contributions that go towards this event. Your donations have a direct impact on many of the Hospital’s accomplishments including groundbreaking pediatric research and life-saving care. Please help in supporting CHOP so they can continue providing comprehensive high-level care to patients and families.

Watching the Boston Marathon

Technically, this is currently happening as I write this. But in Boston, Marathon Monday is a holiday (for most people) and therefore a long weekend for us so it counts!
