If you enjoyed our past recipes utilizing Reduction Ready, then you’re really going to love this one. It’s so simple and easy to prepare you’ll want to make this for dinner every night!
What you’ll need:
- 2-4 6oz. fillets of salmon, with skin
- 2 tbsp Reduction Ready Balsamic Reduction (You can also sub with 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar and 1 tbsp brown sugar)
- 2 tbsp spicy whole grain mustard
- Juice of half a lemon
- Salt and pepper
Step 1: Wash and pat dry your salmon. If your salmon came as one big fillet, cut into individual 6 oz. portions.
Step 2: In a small mixing bowl, combine your Reduction Ready Balsamic Reduction and spicy mustard to make the marinade. Mix evenly. In a large freezer bag, combine your marinade and salmon fillets and make sure the salmon is evenly coated. Marinate for 3-4 hours or overnight.
Step 3: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Season the fillets with salt and pepper and in a large oven safe skillet over medium-high heat, sear the salmon skin side down for 3-4 minutes. Then, immediately transfer to the oven for 20 minutes.
Step 4: After 20 minutes, remove the pan from the oven and drizzle lemon juice over each salmon fillet. Set aside and let them rest for 5 minutes and then serve with your favorite sides.
The great thing about salmon apart from its health benefits (omega 3 fatty acids, high in protein, essential amino acids, etc.) is that you don’t need to add much in terms of flavor to make it stand out.
