After our busy weekend in Philly, Selma and I were ready to for some time to ourselves in Boston. Awhile back, we had bought tickets for OneRepublic and The Script so we were really excited to say the least. We’ve both been dying to see OneRepublic and The Script so getting to see them both at the same concert was just too perfect of an opportunity to pass up.
Because we were coming straight from work, we didn’t have a whole lot of time to grab food before hand. Thus, we decided to go to The Lower Depths because it happened to be on the way. We planned to get our usual – some drinks, a few $1 hotdogs, and a pretzel to share. However, for some unimaginable reason, they increased the price of their $1 hot dog by 100%. Yes, it’s now $2 for a hot dog. Ridiculous. I mean don’t get me wrong, they are still extremely delicious. But just not for $2. I know, I know, it’s only $1 more right? Wrong. It’s the principle. The $1 hot dog was their one redeeming quality so it goes without saying that we will never be going back to The Lower Depths ever again. Sorry we’re not sorry. Y’all did this to yourselves.
After our disappointing meal at The Lower Depths, we ventured on over to the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion for the concert. The whole concert was phenomenal. There’s really not much else to say about it. If you ever get a chance to see them live, you should definitely go. Don’t think about it. Just do it.
Anyways, this post was mainly to talk about the downfall of The Lower Depths. Here are some pictures from the night for your enjoyment.
And with that, thanks for reading and happy 4th of July weekend!
