So if you remember my last post regarding the Bachelor Party, you probably realized that the wedding was most likely in the near future. However, unlike conventional bachelor parties, my brother decided to have his a month before the wedding, hence why the wedding happened this past weekend and not a month ago.
So finally, the wedding weekend had arrived and Selma and I made our way back down to the best state ever for a long weekend filled with food, family, and more food. In order to start off the weekend right, I picked up my usual from McDonald’s while waiting for our flight. I certainly can’t fly without my twisty cone.
After a few hours and a connecting flight, we finally landed in the Lone Star State…and immediately went to bed.
The next morning, there was really only one way to start off our first day back in Texas. That’s right, Chick-Fil-A breakfast to the rescue. It really doesn’t get much better than this. People in Boston don’t know what they’re missing out on.
Even Ellie was patiently awaiting her Chick-Fil-A. You can see the want in her eyes.
Our entire Friday consisted of setting up for the rehearsal dinner at Rachel’s (now sister-in-law) parents house. If you recall the post about their engagement, we were again responsible for lighting and helping set up for the dinner.
All in all, it was a very long and hectic day. Apart from the humidity and the heat, there was just so much to do in order to get ready for the big day. Nevertheless, it was nice to see family and friends again.
You guys will never guess what happens next. Here is a hint….
And with that, thanks for reading and stay tuned for part 2!
