Last weekend, we had a really odd meal schedule (we went to Lower Depths at around 4pm because we’re animals) and didn’t feel like making a full dinner so we decided to go out for some drinks and apps. The Coolidge Corner Clubhouse was having their $11 for $20 Groupon so we said why not and went for it. At the time, we weren’t super hungry. But that would all change once we found out what was in store for us.
When we got there, we had to wait a few minutes for a table because the place was surprisingly packed. I helped myself to one of their $2.99 Rolling Rock draft specials (all day, every day) while we waited. When we were finally seated, we were craving bar food so we ordered up some wings and sliders. I was told the servings here were massive but I didn’t expect them to be this ridiculous.
First the sliders. They may not look like much but they were fantastic. The burgers were cooked exactly medium and they gave us 5 sliders! That’s like 2 more than any other establishment in Boston! A couple next to us were eating the full size burgers and they looked like they were the size of my face. I’ll have to get that next time.
Next the wings. First, I’ve never seen them served like this before so this was a pleasant surprise. Second, I counted 9 whole wings (so 18 separate wings in total)! They were kind of hard to eat but once we got the hang of it, we devoured the entire plate.
The food came out to a little over $20 (minus drinks) so for ~$16 dollars including tip, we got an amazing meal. Needless to say, we will definitely be back again for the wings and $2.99 Rolling Rocks.
