There’s a little bakery right down the street from my place called When Pigs Fly that makes a variety of fresh artisan breads. We always walk past this place but haven’t had the chance to stop in and sample some of their creations….until now. Selma and I were on our way to the store to get some noms when we walked by and decided to finally stop in. They had a few varieties of breads for us to sample but I could tell that Selma was already fixated on the olive loaf.
Before dinner, we had ourselves a little wine and cinnamon encrusted cheese platter to go with our olive loaf while watching some Breaking Bad. We even made our own herb infused olive oil for dipping. We are the most fancy.
We also had Selma’s sister over for dinner and she brought along with her this neat little fondue pot.
They apparently sell specific fondue chocolate which I thought was interesting. It’s essentially chocolate with “milk” inside to keep the chocolate from getting too thick. Im sure you could make your own with some milk and chocolate chips for much cheaper but I didn’t hate the free chocolate fondue.
We also had a nice assortment of marshmallows, raspberries, strawberries, bananas and pretzels for our dipping pleasure.
Anything is better when you cover it in chocolate!
