The first time Selma introduced me to this drink was at Eastern Standard. I was immediately hooked. And the best part is that there are only four ingredients.
- 1/2 lemon
- 4-6 mint leaves
- 1 oz. simple syrup
- 2 oz. bourbon whiskey (I used Old Weller but you can also use Makers or your favorite bourbon)
Cut lemon into wedges.
Muddle together lemon, mint, and simple syrup.
Add bourbon to glass with ice (you can used crushed ice as well).
Strain into a glass and garnish with a mint leaf.
